Device Agents and Services

The Agents in an Secomea Remote Device Management (RDM) solution execute various services:

 

Provide communication between the GateManager™ and the device

  • Support enrollment of a device in the GateManager™
  • Send packets of information (heartbeats) to the GateManager™

Provide monitoring services such as

  • Sending alert notifications based on user-configured alert rules and information in the heartbeats
  • Viewing device's native log and status reports
  • Viewing audit logs and device logs
  • Preparing and sending ad hoc, rulebased or scheduled GateManager™ status reports on individual devices or groups of them

  • Dynamic Relay Services for authorized LinkManager users
  • Static Relay Services for unsolicited alerts and control
  • "Go to Appliance" from the GateManager™ Console to the device's native interface
