Device Manager - GateManager
At the core of Secomea’s RDM solution is the GateManager™, which enables secure remote access to equipment and networks. It is normally installed on a dedicated server at a central management location and is based on an enterprise application server ensuring scalability and clusterability. All connections terminate at the GateManager, which provides centralized administration of access, authentication and authorizations. Through web-services, the solution can be easily integrated with a wide range of back-end applications to the GateManager™ (ERP, management systems etc.)
Field Engineer Access - LinkManager
Field Engineers connects to devices using the off-the-shelf LinkManager software installed on their own PC.
Device Access - SiteManager
Solutions are created on the basis of three types of components:
Hardware-based Gateways
The SiteManager is an off-the-shelf product. The compact size and low power consumption makes it ideal for placing as a device-monitoring front end for multiple industrial devices. Working with GateManager™, it ensures uninterrupted and secure access to the devices over the Internet or private WAN. SiteManager is equipped with one serial port, two Ethernet ports and one PC-Card port intended for UMTS/GPRS uplink failover. The unique Relay Services support bi-directional communication between management system and device, which also avoids any complicated routing issues.
Software-based Gateways
This off-the-shelf solution installs on a Windows workstation or Server as an application running on a VMware virtual machine. Internet or WAN connections for communications are established via the host PC. All other functionalities are equivalent to those found in the hardware-based solution.
Embedded Gateways
An Agent Control Module (ACM) can be embedded in your own equipment to connect devices directly to the GateManager™. The ACM is developed for your equipment – a corresponding “plugin” is developed for the GateManager™.
With years of experience embedding software, we have become specialists in integrating our technologies into a wide variety of products and our solution is highly reliable and secure. Product-specific ACMs can also be hosted on a Gateway instead of being embedded in your equipment.
