The SiteManager Embedded (SM-E) Software is available for multiple operating systems, such as Windows and Linux, but uses only one license to activate. You can pre-install SM-E on all your platforms and connect to central GateManager Access Management Servers FREE of charge. Once you need to perform remote maintenance, a license can be assigned remotely on the GateManager Access Management server with a single click.
Although the popular SiteManager Hardware Models are highly versatile and are used in a variety of applications and IIoT environments, there are still several use-cases where the software version of SiteManager (SM-E) is ideal. Here are the typical scenarios:
You can choose from two license types:
At any time, you can, from the central server, remotely upgrade a SiteManager from Basic to Extended, thus freeing the Basic license for another SiteManager, or you can upgrade an Extended license from 5 to 10 agents.

Apart from standard Windows and Linux x86 platforms, such as workstations and servers, the SiteManager has been adapted to a variety of platforms.
The SiteManager Software has been built for the popular ARM based Raspberry Pi platform, a popular choice for both testing and production purposes. The SiteManager is installed in a matter of minutes and does not require any other changes on the platform. The SiteManager for Raspberry Pi supports both Pi2 and Pi3.
Usually, software must be built specifically for a specific ARM platform, but since the SiteManager has minimum dependencies of the platform and CPU, you can likely use the Raspberry Pi version on other ARM Cortex based platforms. Contact us and we can discuss your needs.
Teltonika is a world leader in providing price attractive hardware platforms for various IoT purposes. The Teltonika Routers are compact and versatile in their connectivity features and have a broad range of global certifications. The different models are industrial graded in terms of temperature, humidity, dust, and vibration. This makes them ideal for harsh environments and mobility.
Secomea has built a SiteManager for the most popular models in the MIPS based RUT series that turns these devices into Secomea remote IoT gateways. The IPK installer package is easily installed via the Teltonika configuration Web UI, where you can also configure it to connect to your preferred GateManager Access Management Server.
The NetCommWireless industrial IoT routers from Casa Systems is a popular choice for a powerful and rugged 4G LTE platform for various purposes.
Secomea has built a SiteManager version for the NTC-220 platform, which is easily installed and configured based on the IPK package via the configuration Web UI. The NetComm Wireless router can then operate as a full-featured SiteManager IoT gateway while simultaneously performing the natively integrated features of the platform.
Advantech is a world leader in the fields of industrial IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms. The Secomea SiteManager is ideal for running on Advantech’s embedded automation computer, the UNO series, or the TPC HMI series.
The standard Linux and Windows versions of the Secomea SiteManager can run on the platforms without any modifications, and Secomea and Advantech have entered into a formal partnership to not only have customers benefit from the best of both company’s offerings, but also to offer a one-stop offering by having the combo fully supported by Secomea and Advantech.
BeagleBone is a low-cost community-supported development platform from the BeagleBoard open-source initiative, which has grown in popularity alongside Raspberry Pi. Like the Raspberry Pi, these boards are based on the ARM Cortex processor, which is more than capable of hosting the SiteManager software with excellent performance. BeagleBone may not address an industrial segment directly but could be ideal for specialized and very price sensitive volume projects.
A BeagleBone version of the SiteManager software is available for free download from our Support site.
Docker is the industry standard for quasi-open-source containerization. Docker leverages the properties of Linux containers to run applications independently of host devices’ OS. Package SiteManager Embedded as a Docker Container to run SM-E as an infrastructure-agnostic, secure, simple-to-distribute package. Docker containers have minimal system requirements, compatible with a wide variety of platforms, from the Raspberry Pi to leading Robotics control systems.
Docker enables you to scale SM-E to your machines and PLCs without installation, compatibility or security headaches. Discover how you can use SM-E in Docker on our Knowledge Base.
